Yes, today was That Day – everywhere around the word all yarnbombers, guerilla knitters, yarn graffiters or how they say (dosn’t matter, we are a big familly anyway) makes own creation, bombing cities and enjoy celebration of this unusual day.
I made my creation especially for this occasion, forgot about snakes for a while and left in the city 3 huge pencil crayons under the title: “Paint the World”. Why this idea? It was my first association when I read about International Yarnbombing Day. It’s also nice for instal on bicycle stand and most of all it’s really funny to see big standing crayons on the sidewalk. I hope Rotterdamers will smile when they see them. Let’s make cities colorfull!

Tak, właśnie dzisiaj był Ten Dzień – na całym świecie amatorzy yarnbombing’u, damskiego graffiti, włóczkowych wrzutów czy jakkolwiek ich nazwać tworzyli specjalne akcje z tej okazji, chwalili się swoimi pomysłami wrzucając je “w miasto” i celebrowali ten niezwykły dzień.
Specjalnie z tej okazji zapomniałam na chwilę o swoich wężach i wydziergałam trzy wielkie kredki nadając im tytuł : “Pomaluj Świat”. Skąd ten pomysł? To było moje pierwsze skojarzenie gdy przeczytałam o Międzynarodowym Dniu Partyzantki Włóczkowej. Łatwo je również “wrzucić” na stojaki rowerowe no i przede wszystkim to takie zabawne widzieć duże kredki stojące na chodniku. Mam nadzieję, że mieszkańcy Rotterdamu będą się uśmiechać na ich widok. Sprawmy aby miasta były bardziej kolorowe.
